摘要: The Ryk receptor belongs to the atypical tyrosine kinase family. It is a new member of family Wnt proteins. However, molecular mechanisms by which functions remain unknown. Here, we report that mammalian Ryk, unlike Drosophila homolog Derailed, as coreceptor along with Frizzled for ligands. also binds Dishevelled, through it activates canonical pathway, providing link between and Dishevelled. Transgenic mice expressing siRNA exhibit defects in axon guidance, required neurite outgrowth induced Wnt-3a activation T cell factor (TCF) Wnt-1. Thus, appears play crucial role Wnt-mediated signaling.
