摘要: This paper explores the complexities of educational and social conditions encountered by black males, examining possibilities limits comprehensive high school reform strategies in overcoming negative effects barriers such as concentrated poverty ineffective public schools for adolescents. The discusses: disproportionate numbers male students placed at risk failure diminishing life chances; trends reform; principles-of role rescuing males; need teachers to educate students; teacher-student cultural congruence; interpersonal relations; importance appropriate staffing reform. notes simultaneously strengthening communities within which are located working schools. It explains that missing components lack attention uniqueness boys paucity teachers. recommends future research policy should involve incorporating recruitment into development initiatives, particularly critical transition points schooling.
