摘要: Some recent neurophysical studies suggest that mammalian binaural decoding is based on count comparison. When a signal presented earlier or with higher level to one ear, the neural signals are stronger in auditory pathways leading contralateral hemisphere such mechanisms. This paper describes functional count-comparison models of two brainstem nuclei, medial superior olive (MSO) and lateral (LSO), both which exist hemispheres. The topology organs connections between them as current neuroanatomical imitated model. parameters selected fit existing neurophysiological psychoacoustical data. It shown proposed MSO LSO sensitive interaural differences time way accounts for some known phenomena.
