Universal remote console - prototyping for the alternate interface access standard

摘要: A Universal Remote Console is a device that can be used to operate any compatible services or devices. The (URC) renders user interface for the target service in way accommodates user's needs and preferences. V2 technical committee of InterNational Committee Information Technology Standards (INCITS) currently developing standard "Alternative User Interface Access" includes URCs. This paper describes preliminary design aspects under development, particular an XML-based language communicate abstract definition URC. Prototypical implementations URCs developed at Trace Center serve as basis experimental research will demonstrated workshop.
