A novel chemoenzymatic synthesis of propyl caffeate using lipase-catalyzed transesterification in ionic liquid

摘要: Propyl caffeate has the highest antioxidant capacity in alkyl esters family, but industrial production of propyl is hindered by low yields using either chemical or enzymatic catalysis method. To set up a high-yield process for obtaining caffeate, novel chemoenzymatic synthesis method lipase-catalyzed transesterification an intermediate methyl ethyl and 1-propanol ionic liquid was established. The maximum yield 98.5% obtained under following optimal conditions: Novozym 435 as biocatalyst, [Bmim][CF3SO3] medium, molar ratio to 1:5, mass lipase 1:20, reaction temperature 60 °C. two-step conversion caffeic acid via efficient way prepare with overall 82.7%.
