Evaluating CCN multi-path interest forwarding strategies

摘要: This work addresses the performance evaluation of Content Centric Networks (CCN). Focusing on a realistic YouTube-like catalog, we conduct thorough simulation study main system performance, with special focus multi-path interest forwarding strategies but thoroughly analyzing impact several other ingredients - such as network topology, content popularity, caching decisions and replacement policies. Summarizing our results, (i) catalog popularity settings play by far most crucial role (ii) strategy layer comes next, naive playing against CCN efficiency, (iii) simple randomized policies perform almost well more complex ones, (iv) topology is limited. Hopefully, assessment scenario parameters can assist promote cross-comparison in research community for which also provide simulator open source software.
