摘要: A longitudinal cohort study of older adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who were stratified by FEV(1) at enrollment was done to define the etiology, frequency, severity, and medical-care impact respiratory tract viral infections (RTVIs). Controls consisted a group subjects comparable age patients. RTVIs documented in 44% observed acute illnesses control 27% COPD subjects, followed for mean periods 35 26 mo, respectively.
