摘要: Abstract Modern fuel injection systems for cars consist of precise mechanical parts, which need solid lubricant coatings to be protected from friction and wear. Diamond-like-carbon (DLC)-coatings show crucial advantages in a low wear (see the high hardness), coefficient (even non-lubricated contact with steel as counterpart) counter body. Several examples applications DLC-coatings are discussed. Model tests like oscillating test suitable various tribological “piston cylinder” or “valve lifter on camshaft”. To get reproducible between two parts contact, running-in process was developed. In order design powerful find cost-saving solutions shortly, should used constructional elements systems. The integration into modeling simulation will discussed an application impact importance surface engineering “the application-specific (with coating) component-part system performance interaction surroundings” emphasized.
