摘要: A simple and fast original method to create irregular particle shapes for the discrete element using overlapping spheres is described. The effects of its parameters on resolution shape are discussed. Overlapping induce a non-uniform density inside leading incorrect moments inertia therefore rotational behaviour. reduce error in principal which acts individual densities also pertinence correction illustrated by case free falling ballast particles forming heap flat surface. In addition improve behaviour, reduces computational time. model then used analyse interaction between geogrid simulating pull-out tests. pulling force results show that apprehends better interlocking than models with representation particles. It points out importance modelling accurately simulations.
