摘要: A skin disease of intensively reared salmonids in Ontario hatcheries, known to the farmers as‘no-mucus disease’, is reported for first time. It was characterized by erosive and ulcerative lesions found mainly on flanks fingerlings, which resulted exposure tips scales. Associated with these were colonies bacteria seen SEM be clustered round mucous cell pores under-running margins epithelial cells. The cause this condition unknown, although response fish formalin treatment, presence bacilli scrapings SEM, suggest that are responsible.
