摘要: Abstract Background Carcinosarcoma of pancreas is a rare subtype pancreatic cancer. The aim this study was to comprehensively elaborate the clinicopathological and molecular features malignancy. Methods Patients who were diagnosed with carcinosarcoma retrospectively identified from pathology database single institution between 2012 2018. Results A total nine patients identified. Pathological examination tumor tissues included showed coexisting carcinomatous sarcomatous components. These two components distinguished by mutually exclusive expression cytokeratin vimentin. tissue exhibited more extensive proliferation, as revealed Ki67 staining, necrosis compared counterpart. Genomic analysis for demonstrated hotspot mutation at KRAS TP53. Carcinomatous separately obtained via laser captured microdissection in one patient, mutations driving genes highly concordant them. Besides, immunostaining frequently-altered suppressor these suggested consistent patterns. median overall survival six adequate follow-up 14 months. Conclusion represent malignancy distinct histological characteristics. monoclonal origin
