摘要: Abstract Overlapping recombinant clones that encompass the insulin-like growth factor (IGF) I and II genes have been isolated from a human genomic DNA library. Each gene is present once per haploid genome; IGF-I spans greater than 35 kilobase pairs (kbp) IGF-II at least 15 kbp. The exon-intron organization of these similar, each having four exons, which one more related insulin gene. Comparison restriction endonuclease cleavage maps genes, including their flanking regions hybridization with an cDNA probe, revealed they are adjacent to another. same polarity separated by 12.6 kbp intergenic includes dispersed middle repetitive Alu sequence. order 5'-insulin-IGF-II-3'.
