摘要: Abstract Solid-state structure of syndiotactic polystyrene (s-PS) after crystallization from the melt and glassy state was examined by differential scanning calorimetry, density X-ray diffraction analysis (WAXS). It possible to prepare semicrystalline s-PS containing pure α (α″ or α′ modifications) β crystalline forms with different crystallinities (0–40%). The measurements confirmed low both forms, which in case form smaller slightly larger than amorphous s-PS. Oxygen carbon dioxide gas permeability, diffusion solubility were studied as a function crystallinity. These that more dense impermeable for transport small molecules while less highly permeable. Unusual behavior attributed porous nanochannels. Despite structure, showed very oxygen compared phase. proposed model explained characteristic features permeation chemically ‘inert’ medium consisting polymer dispersed phase A new relaxation process maximum at about −35 °C observed crystals associated this form.
