摘要: Mobile operators are facing an exponential traffic growth due to the proliferation of portable devices that require a high-capacity connectivity. This, in turn, leads tremendous increase energy consumption wireless access networks. A promising solution this problem is concept heterogeneous networks, which based on dense deployment low-cost and low-power base stations, addition traditional macro cells. However, such scenario consumed by backhaul, aggregates from each station towards metro/core segment, becomes significant may limit advantages network deployments. This paper aims at assessing impact backhaul taking into consideration different data requirements (i.e., todays 2020 levels). Three architectures combining technologies copper, fiber, microwave) considered. Results show can amount up 50% power network. On other hand, hybrid combines fiber microwave performs relatively well scenarios where characterized high small-base-stations penetration rate.
