摘要: Abstract Myenteric plexus-longitudinal muscle strips prepared from tolerant/dependent guinea-pigs and continuously exposed to normorphine, display a contracture upon naloxone challenge. This phenomenon represents sign of abstinence. Removal the opiate by extensive washing resulted in failure induce abstinence sign, while plexus still displayed considerable, although reduced, tolerance morphine. Reexposure withdrawn preparations normorphine reinduced ability sign. Highly tolerant exhibited 30 fold increase sensitivity serotonin prostaglandin E 1 when tested few minutes after naloxone-precipitated withdrawal. Supersensitivity rapidly declined was washed off preparation, reincubation tissues with reinduction supersensitivity. The data confirms close relationship between state dependence (including sign) supersensitivity putative neurotransmitters or neuromodulators, becoming evident following administration naloxone.
