摘要: An introductory review on the critical behaviour of some irreversible reaction systems is presented. The study these has attracted great attention during last decades due to, one hand, rich and complex underlying physics, and, other, their relevance to numerous technological applications in heterogeneous catalysis, corrosion coating, development microelectronic devices, etc. focuses recent advances understanding phase transitions (IPTs), providing a survey theoretical field decade, as well detailed discussion relevant numerical simulations. Langevin formulation for treatment second-order IPTs discussed. Different Monte Carlo (MC) approaches are also presented detail finite-size-scaling analysis IPT's described. Special devoted description progress first-order observed upon catalytic oxidation carbon monoxide reduction nitrogen monoxide, using lattice gas models. Only brief comments given other reactions such hydrogen, ammonia synthesis. Also, experiments measurements compared with results. Furthermore, promising areas further research open questions addressed.
