摘要: Downlink spatial intercell interference cancellation (ICIC) is considered for mitigating other-cell using multiple transmit antennas. A principle question we explore whether it better to do ICIC or simply standard single-cell beamforming. We this analytically and show that beamforming preferred all users when the edge SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) low ( 10 dB), example in an urban setting. At medium SNR, a proposed adaptive strategy, where base stations jointly select transmission strategies based on user location, outperforms both while requiring lower feedback rate than pure approach. The employed metric sum rate, which normally dubious cellular systems, but surprisingly even with reward function strategy also improves fairness. When channel information provided by limited feedback, impact of induced quantization error investigated. analysis provides insights design, shown well-designed still significant throughput gain.
