摘要: The preparation of vitrified CBN or diamond wheels by truing and dressing has a large influence on the grinding performance. A worn dresser cannot produce sufficient protrusion cutting grain edges. To reduce wear dressers hence guarantee desired wheel surface, novel method, namely, laser-assisted dressing, is proposed tested to achieve good quality efficiency. systematical experimental feasibility study this newly technique conducted investigating efficiency, accuracy, wear, dressed profiles, specific forces in comparison with those conventional single methods. Experimental results show that new offers number advantages over single-tip method. In addition, underlying mechanism laser process investigated through careful analysis properties chips microscopic structural characteristics wheels.
