摘要: Within a few years of its introduction, QUIC has gained traction: significant chunk traffic is now delivered over QUIC. The networking community actively engaged in debating the fairness, performance, and applicability for various use cases, but these debates are centered around narrow, common theme: how does new reliable transport built on top UDP fare different scenarios? Evaluation unreliable delivery remains largely unexplored. The option delivering content unreliably, as best-effort model, deserves designers' community's attention. We propose extending to support streams discuss simple case video streaming---an application that dominates overall Internet traffic---that can leverage potentially bring immense benefits network operators providers. demonstrate, using controlled-environment trials, combine outperform TCP streaming.
