Healthcare librarians and the delivery of critical appraisal training: attitudes, level of involvement and support

摘要: Background:  Although healthcare librarians are undertaking training in critical appraisal skills, what is not so clear the impact of on understanding and dissemination these skills. Objectives:  This study aims to examine attitudes towards delivering their level involvement. Methods:  A questionnaire survey 57 library services across 48 NHS Trust Library Services north-west England followed up with 21 semi-structured interviews. Results:  Seventy-three per cent respondents felt that they ought be involved training, however less than a third (29%) actually involved. Librarians facilitation at various levels. Conclusions:  Debate continues over extent librarian involvement training. As long as recognise own capabilities identify boundaries within which feel comfortable then there no reason why should
