摘要: The influence of alternating shear orientation and strain amplitude cyclic loading on yielding in amorphous solids is investigated using molecular dynamics simulations. model glass represented via a binary mixture that was rapidly cooled well below the transition temperature then subjected to oscillatory deformation. It shown periodic at amplitudes above critical value first induces structural relaxation irreversible displacements clusters atoms during number transient cycles, followed by an increase potential energy due formation system-spanning band. Upon approaching from above, cycles required reach increases. Interestingly, it found when periodically alternated two or three dimensions, reduced but remains same as case along single plane. After transition, material outside band continues strain-induced relaxation, except dimensions deformed with imposed every third cycle.
