摘要: Abstract Surface observations show that multilayer clouds frequently occur in frontal areas where cirrus overlie boundary layer convective or stratus clouds. In this paper, an algorithm is presented for the retrieval of cloud optical depths and ice crystal sizes systems based on theory radiative transfer parameterizations. For validation program, AVHRR data analyzed two dates during FIRE-II-IFO which a low cloud. It shown domain-averaged retrieved temperatures are within boundaries determined from collocated replicator, radar, lidar data.
