摘要: Many processing operations and product descriptions lead to the use of distributed system modelling due importance spatial variations in states. This chapter shows some industrial applications where concepts are vital for gaining insights into design these systems. It outlines development model, giving details assumed balance volumes main convective diffusive flows system. The conceptualisation is discussed, resultant model defined. study considers a retorting device oil shale. used test out performance such devices. second example drawn from fertilizer industry involves commercial granulator producing industrial-grade phosphate fertilizers. A final case steady state behavior short-path evaporator often concentrates products as juices. All have important variations. In each case, equations been discretized one (spatial) direction integrated other or with respect time.
