摘要: Abstract An overhung rotor model is explored to determine the effect of friction during contact between and stator. The has two degrees freedom with stator equations motion are non-dimensionalised. A parametric study coefficient eccentricity conducted results displayed on three dimensional bifurcation plots, orbit Poincare maps spectral intensity plots classify solutions. It shown for first time that in presence there fundamentally different forms asynchronous bouncing motion, can coexist same system. Furthermore, analysis shows synchronisation spin speed, backward whirl (BW) forward (FW) persists friction. Also, additionally it was observed from diagram besides primary resonance a region high radial displacement; dominant frequency component whirling stiffened system this region. solutions seen expand as increased.
