摘要: Abstract A method is presented for the quantitative detemination of cholesterol in presence its oxidation and degradation products arising from thermal radiation induced decomposition. The samples are chromatographed on silica gel coated thin layer plates with a chloroform—acetone mixture. Cholesterol becomes visible upon spraying water. spot scraped off transferred wet into centrifuge tube. After drying, glacial acetic acid containing ferric chloride added, color developed perchloric acid—phosphoric acid—ferric reagent slurry. centrifugation absorption liquid measured at 450 mμ. can be used determination 20–200 μg less than 2% error.
