摘要: Background: The purpose of this study was to explore the effect experimental sleep deprivation (SD) on temporomandibular joint (TMJ) rats and possible mechanism related abnormal bone metabolism. Material methods: SD induced by a modified multiple platform method assessed serum adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) level. TMJs were detached stained with hematoxylin eosin (H&E). Expression interleukin-1β (IL-1β), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), osteoprotegerin (OPG) receptor activator nuclear kappa B ligand (RANKL) evaluated quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, H&E staining, immunohistochemical staining enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Results: Compared controls, significantly increased ACTH, indicating that model successful. In group, revealed greater vessel hyperplasia in synovial membrane thicker hypertrophic layers condylar cartilages. RNA protein expression inflammatory factors IL-1β TNF-α metabolism-related RANKL cartilage whereas OPG OPG/RANKL ratio decreased. Immunohistochemical immunopositive cells mainly located layers. Conclusions: These results suggest might play an important role occurrence development disorders, which may occur through secretion factors.
