摘要: A large outbreak of viral gastroenteritis occurred in which oysters eaten raw were the vehicle infection. Laboratory findings indicated that a small round structured virus was infecting agent. Adults all ages equally susceptible to infection with virus. Investigation cast doubt on efficacy depuration as method for rendering free virus, and hence public should be warned hazard eating shellfish.
