摘要: This chapter reviews the research on echinoderms that occur in waters of Argentina. One hundred and thirty-four echinoderm species have been recorded. Two Crinoidea, 58 Asteroidea, 32 Ophiuroidea, 16 Echinoidea, 26 Holothuroidea. The variety marine environments main oceanographic processes region are described. Comprehensive information regarding historical recent is included. A review biological, ecological, chemical inhabiting Argentine Sea also presented. Until recently studies Argentina were very limited. Further should be carried out to increase knowledge biology ecology fauna. In addition, systematic phylogenetic Ophiuroidea Holothuroidea needed. Echinoderm fisheries sporadic occurring only Beagle Channel, especially for local market. Benthic disturbance resulting from bottom trawling at various localities seems a major threat Sea.
