摘要: H.T. Odum suggested a set of rules for simulating the dynamics emergy flow (Dynamic Emergy Accounting—DEA), which offers capability to investigate how and transformity storage energy increases decreases over time according inflows outflows energy. However, Odum's original are cumbersome appear violate fundamental algebra. The aim this paper is advance DEA by simplifying equations needed simultaneously simulate energy, material, transformity. statements, mini-models computer programming code reviewed explore his intentions about stored increased decreased time. Simplifications proposed compared using single tank simulation model, EMTANK. new, simplified rule change in balance input output regardless whether increasing, decreasing or not changing. simplifications included (1) removing logic statement that requires accumulation stop when near its climax, (2) disallowing be lost via heat sink, (3) requiring some exported from storage. One most important aspects simplification it allows decline, may significant philosophical shift many analysts. Streamlining mathematics widens opportunities various systems range complexities, will science evaluation.
