摘要: The combustion behavior of a blend made high impact polystyrene (HIPS) with sodium montmorillonite (MMT-Na+) and triphenyl phosphite (TPP), as halogen-free flame retardant, is analyzed in detail this work. processed through various extrusion methods aimed to improve clay dispersion. UL94 method vertical position, oxygen index cone calorimetric measurements assess HIPS combustion. TGA, FTIR, SEM X-ray measurements, together mechanical rheological tests evaluate the thermal degradation, morphology, intercalation degree dispersion particles. use static-mixing die placed at extreme single screw extruder improves platelets distribution reduces peak heat release rate better than employing twin process. In addition, properties are affected substantially by changing A correlation between fire retardant found, decreases good tests.
