摘要: Abstract : The majority of patients with advanced breast cancer develop bone metastases, which are incurable. Recently, tumor-secreted factors have shown promise as targets for the treatment metastasis. Adrenomedullin (AM) is a cancer-secreted peptide that pro-proliferative, anti-apoptotic, pro-angiogenic, and stimulates new formation. AM overexpression increases metastases while knockdown decreases in mouse models prostate lung respectively. objective this project to validate an important target I hypothesize expression resistance chemotherapy. Specific Aims: (1) To determine if by cells lesion formation metastasis models. (2) role cells. Key Research Accomplishments: MDA-MB-231 clones overexpress were produced. Stable shRNA cell (3) Decreasing increased but decreased mammary fat pad tumor-take growth mice. Relevance: Currently no treatments improve overall survival patients. Inhibitors certain My results indicate inhibitors factor would not be good metastases.
