摘要: The current crop of antibiotics in clinical use are either natural products or their derivatives. However, the rise a multitude different antibiotic resistant human pathogens has meant that new urgently needed. Unfortunately, search for from traditional bacterial sources often results high rediscovery rate known compounds and low chance identifying truly novel chemical entities. To overcome this, previously unexplored (or under investigated) being tapped potential to produce with activities. Here, we review number identified bacteria genera Burkholderia, Clostridium, Lysobacter, Pantoea Xenorhabdus describe organisms associated metabolites future drug discovery efforts.
