摘要: Objective First-trimester aneuploidy screening has high detection rates and low false-positive rates. Their use as well the implementation of non-invasive prenatal testing may affect specialty training in diagnosis procedures. Study design Descriptive study first-trimester amniocentesis an obstetric program. Screening methods were tracked from their introduction 2004 through 2011. The volume procedures 2000 to 2011 was evaluated. Results First-trimester tests increased 283 1225 between 2005 2011, whereas genetic amniocenteses declined 460 168 during same period. percent older women who chose a screen test rose 12.7% 44.2% Conclusion First-trimester options reduce available for training. Fetal medicine general obstetrics programs need evaluate clinical experience determine whether simulation are needed education. © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
