摘要: [1] An additional Heinrich ice-rafting event is identified between events 5 and 6 in eight cores from the Labrador Sea northwest Atlantic Ocean. It characterized by sediment rich detrital carbonate (40% CaCO3) with high concentration of floating dropstones, coarse-fraction (% > 150 μm) content, has a sharp contact underlying but grades into overlying hemipelagic sediment. also shows lighter δ18ONpl values, indicating freshening due to iceberg rafting and/or meltwater discharge. This correlated Dansgaard-Oeschger 14 interpreted as an event, H5a. The thickness H5a reaches up 220 cm. been reported PS2644 SO82-5 northern North Atlantic. With recognition temporal spacing 1 becomes more uniform (∼7 ka).
