Improvement of intraocular lens power calculation using empirical data

摘要: A simple lens power calculation formula of the form: Predicted implant = + B X axial length C keratometry, can be produced with different constants (A, B, and C) for each type manufacturer. We have determined iris-fixated, anterior chamber posterior implants, based on data from 923 cases. The results been more accurate than those presently available theoretical formulas, well-known phenomenon predicting too much dioptric in eyes short lengths has avoided. Only 1% cases had a predicted 3 diopters error.
