摘要: Artificial roughness in form of ribs is convenient method for enhancement heat transfer coefficient solar air heater. This paper presents experimental investigation and friction factor characteristics rectangular duct roughened with W-shaped on its underside one broad wall arranged at an inclination respect to flow direction. Range parameters this study has been decided basis practical considerations system operating conditions. Duct width height ratio (W/H) 8.0, relative pitch (p/e) 10, (e/Dh) 0.018–0.03375 angle attack (α) 30–75°. Air rate corresponds Reynolds number between 2300–14,000. Heat results have compared those smooth under similar thermal boundary condition determine thermo-hydraulic performance. Correlations developed duct.
