Optimised broadband Internet access solutions for digital inclusion of small rural communities

摘要: In this paper, wireless deployment scenarios for network operators delivering broadband Internet access in underserved rural areas lacking adequate basic PSTN infrastructure are examined. Considering the defined operators' coverage targets, existing national regulatory demands and EU initiatives engaged a Digital divide reduction, further of solutions communities is required. The conducted analyses paper prove that implementation small cells represents an techno-economic solution providing low populated infrastructure. Furthermore, several deploying cell networks these analysed. Finally, critical aspects analysed scenarios' business cases defined.
