摘要: [1] A hydrologic model of the mountainous snowmelt-dominated Redfish Creek catchment (British Columbia) is used to evaluate Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure (IWAP) guidelines regarding peak flow sensitivity logging in different elevation bands a basin. Simulation results suggest that increases are caused by greater snow accumulation and melt clear-cut areas while similar evapotranspiration rates predicted under forested conditions during spring high flow. Snow clearly related elevation, but relationship between change more complex than perceived IWAP. Logging bottom 20% causes little or no because small low-elevation snowpack timing snowmelt, area alone appears be good indicator due at higher elevation. Temporal variability changes clear-cutting substantial may depend on temperatures snowmelt size snowpack. Long-term simulations needed improve quantitative estimates importance watershed topographic characteristics for generation must further examined.
