Stark-broadening regularities of lithium-like and sodium-like isoelectronic sequences

摘要: The Stark width (w) of spectral lines multiply ionized atoms as a function the upper-level ionization potential (I), net core charge (z) and electron temperature (T), was found to be form: w=az2T−1/2I−b normalized 1×1023 m−3 density for given transition array. Coefficientsa andb are independent potential, charge, density. This paper proves validity this equation widths in domains densities (0.5–1.5)×1023 temperatures 20 000–80 000 K. reduced (wT1/2/z2) dependence on inverse value is represented by linear trend (in log-log scale) experimental relevant theoretical results within maximal scatter less than ±30%. For givenns-np array, equally applicable (i) successive stages same atom (ii) ions isoelectronic sequences second third periods periodic system. It also shown that coefficientsa depend energy state emitter core. Using obtained trends, one can quite successfully predict corresponding transitions have not yet been measured.
