摘要: Abstract Ballistic helmet is a standard infantry equipment that provides ballistic protection from fragmenting to the head, temples, ear and neck of wearer. This paper presents study design locally used helmet, i.e. Personnel Armor System for Ground Troop (PASGT) type ergonomic perspectives identification potential risk areas injury based on current design. Two quantitative assessment techniques are employed in investigation. First, set questionnaires were distributed users PASGT helmet. The result showed 54.8% respondents experienced pain parietal (top) area their which head injury. Second, an experiment with 10-mm thick sponge layer added interior part was conducted test its effect contact pressure between wearer medium size while jogging treadmill at 8 km/h 180 seconds. Mean peak without wearing 2.5 kPa 2.6 kPa, respectively, obtained practical test. maximum found be 3.6 kPa 4.2 kPa sponge. results this indicate there discomfort can minimized by appending frontal
