摘要: The organophosphate pesticide, phorate, is an extremely hazardous insecticide. Not much experimental study available on effects of phorate different brain areas. We report in this the alterations induced by enzyme profile mouse olfactory bulb. Olfactory bulb, first processing centre after sensory cells pathway, has connections with other higher centres like hippocampus and hypothalamus. Phorate was administered orally diet at doses 1.0 mg 1.5 mg/kg body weight to adult albino mice. After 32 weeks exposure animals were sacrificed cryosections processed for acetylcholinesterase butyrylcholinesterase (AChE BChE, respectively) localization. Significant reduction occurs AChE BChE activity dose level, whereas reduced found both levels. Our results shows obvious effect cholinesterase bulb mice systemic administration low long terms.
