摘要: Using a correlated liability dimensions model, we examined the extent to which same genetic and environmental factors influence both initiation of regular cigarette smoking maintenance habit in men women. We analyzed questionnaire survey data obtained from large samples male female like-sexed twins three countries, Australia (N = 1535 pairs), Sweden 5916 Finland 4438 subdivided into age bands (18-25, 26-35, 36-46 years age). found that familial influences on risk for persistence cannot be entirely explained by responsible initiation. Total variance varied little band sex (range, 39-49% women 42-45% men); however, even among youngest group (18-25 age), who average have fewest use, less than 40% total was accounted increased initiation, this percentage decreased 10% year olds.
