摘要: The primary purpose of this article was to examine the associations between life satisfaction level and health-related quality (HRQOL), chronic illness, adverse health behaviors among adults in U.S. its territories. Data were obtained from 2005 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, an ongoing, state-based, random-digit telephone survey noninstitutionalized population aged ≥18 years. An estimated 5.6% (about 12 million) reported that they dissatisfied/very dissatisfied with their lives. As decreased, prevalence fair/poor general health, disability, infrequent social support increased as did mean number days past 30 physical distress, mental activity limitation, depressive symptoms, anxiety sleep insufficiency, pain. smoking, obesity, inactivity, heavy drinking also decreasing satisfaction. Moreover, illnesses significantly more likely than those without report dissatisfaction. Notably, all these remained significant after adjusting for sociodemographic characteristics. Our findings showed HRQOL risk varied appears encompass many individual domains, it may be important concept public research.
