摘要: Yeast mRNA introns contain a conserved sequence, TACTAAC, required for splicing. We previously identified putative splicing intermediate characterized by stop to reverse transcriptase at the TACTAAC box of wild-type rp51A (ribosomal protein 51A gene) intron. now show that this is due branch and occurs identical nucleotide in actin intron box. further contains complete 3' exon, but missing 5' exon. This RNA largely form lariat. The lariat other intermediates detected (two forms, different molecular weights, excised free exon) are compatible with view cut junction formation early steps yeast substantial similarities exist between mammalian
