摘要: Recent studies have shown that the precursor of nerve growth factor (proNGF) is highly elevated in aging brains and patients with Alzheimer's Disease. proNGF accumulates hippocampus which an important neurogenic region related to learning memory. However, it remains unclear whether has influence on hippocampal neurogenesis. In this study, we demonstrated high-affinity receptor proNGF, p75 neurotrophic (p75NTR), was expressed both cells undergoing mitosis postmitotic mature mouse hippocampus. infusion into adult significantly reduced density BrdU-incorporating BrdU/Doublecortin double positive subgranular zone hippocampus, indicating inhibitory effect also induced prominent cell apoptosis activated residential astrocyte microglia, might further impair These results implied played a pivotal role regulating neurogenesis account for memory deficit cognitive impairment.
