Biological activities of the essential oil and total extract of Salvia macrosiphon Boiss.

摘要: Introduction: Salvia macrosiphon Boiss. (Lamiaceae) is an aromatic perennial herb that its phytochemical analysis has shown presence of flavonoid and phenolic compounds. Material Methods: Essential oil the aerial parts S. collected from south Iran was obtained by hydrodistillation analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The main components Linalool (19%), β-Cedrene (14.64%) β-Elemene (13.33%).
