摘要: Summary At the beginning of 1994, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Harvard Medical School in Boston (MA, USA) a pioneer proton therapy since 1959, selected team led by Ion Beam Applications SA (IBA) to supply equipment its new Northeast Proton Therapy Centre (NPTC). The IBA integrated system includes compact 235 MeV isochronous cyclotron, short energy selection transforming fixed beam extracted from cyclotron into variable beam, one or more isocentric gantries fitted with nozzle, consisting horizontal lines, global control including an accelerator unit and several independent but networked stations, safety management system, robotic patient positioning system. present paper presents being built for NPTC.
