摘要: This paper aims to give a hierarchical, genera- tive account of diatonic harmony progressions and proposes generative phrase-structure grammar. The formalism ac- counts for structural properties key, functional, scale surface level. Being related linguistic approaches in syntax the hierarchical tonality theory tonal music (GTTM) (1), cadence-based contexts its elaborations are formalised. approach covers cases modulation, tonicisation some aspects large-scale harmonic form, may be applied large sets compositions. Potential applications rise computational corpus analysis, as well psychological investigation cognition. 1
