摘要: This study examined the prevalence of both basal and glucose-stimulated hyperinsulinemia acanthosis nigricans (AN) as well relationship between insulin androgen levels in hyperandrogenic women. Sixty-two women who had an elevation 1 or more plasma were studied. The results these women, grouped for analysis on basis obesity ovulatory status, compared to those 36 control similar ages weights. anovulatory clinical biochemical features polycystic ovary syndrome (PCO). Oral glucose tolerance tests performed with measurement glucose, insulin, sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), total non-SHBG-bound steroid levels. AN was present 29% majority them obese. Fifty percent obese PCO AN, but they did not otherwise differ from lacking this dermatological change. Only significant independent obesity, highest serum Plasma values during oral test significantly increased presence 20% frank impairment tolerance. Ovulatory normal Obese nonobese different relationships levels; correlations non-SHBG testosterone (r = 0.30; P less than 0.05), whereas FSH 0.40; 0.01), dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate 0.33; SHBG 0.37; 0.05) levels, suggesting that mechanisms underlying association are complex. These findings suggest 1) only have obesity; is a feature states general; 2) common finding particularly PCO; 3) at risk tolerance, negative impact action additive; 4) can be considered subgroup do appear distinct endocrine disorder.
