Assessment of political risk factors influencing the corporate performance of multinationals construction companies in northeastern Nigeria

摘要: The transborder extension of the services offered by multinationals construction companies that have settled in Africa exposes them to political risk factors pertinent host country. This paper seeks identify and assess prevalence influencing corporate performance multinational North-eastern zones Nigeria. Structured questionnaires were administered 78 expatriates project managers from six within states Nigeria’s North-east area. Data collected analysed using relative importance index factor analysis. Findings showed terrorism, corruption, insurgencies, sabotages kidnapping five major with highest level occurrence, while kidnappings, sabotage, corruption change government are those impact on operations region. recommendation includes need for Federal, State Local Governments provide adequate security lives, properties investments.
